Comedian George Lopez Suing Pandora for $5.5 Million

Comic George Lopez recently filed a suit against radio streaming giant, Pandora. Lopez claims Pandora exploited his copyrighted material. The material comes from two of his standup specials, his 2001 “Right Now Right Now” and 2003 “Team Leader.” These two specials later became an album. In the 2001 special, there are 18 chapters and 19 chapters In the 2003 special making a total of 37 works from Lopez. He is highly upset with the company for illegally using his material and hired attorneys to file the suit. Lopez stated that he wants an account of all the profit that was made and he’s hoping to receive a total of $5.5 million for the alleged infringement.
