Finland’s prime minister apologizes for topless photo of two women at summer home

Prime Minister Sanna Marin of Finland apologized after a picture was leaked on social media of two women topless and kissing inside a bathroom at the PM’s summer residence.

Marin confirmed that the inappropriate photo was taken in a bathroom at her official summer home in early July after a music festival. The prime minister is not in the photo where the two women are covering their breasts with a sign that says, “Finland.” The photo was posted online by one of the two women.

Marin says, “We were using the sauna facilities and the garden area, but we did not spend time inside the Kesäranta house, although the downstairs guest toilets were in use.”

This comes after Marin made headlines last week after a video of her dancing wildly at a private party at her home was leaked.

Marin says she is sorry, but she is human. The PM says amid these dark times, she too sometimes wants joy, light, and fun.
