New Orleans Mother Stabs Her 2 Children & Goes Live, Says She Was Going to Commit Suicide, Blamed Their Father
A New Orleans mother was arrested after stabbing her 2 children on Sunday. 31-year-old Janee Pedescleaux killed her 4-year-old daughter and left her 2-year-old son in critical condition.
According to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), the incident was reported around 11 a.m. in the 3100 block of Law Street.
Both children were taken to an area hospital by their father, Jermaine Roberts. Roberts saw Pedescleaux on social media after she went live telling her followers that her children are dead and she was going to commit suicide. She also blamed Roberts for her actions.
Roberts petitioned the court in April 2022 to establish custody for children, citing parental alienation. Pedescleaux wasn’t allowing him to see the kids because he was in a new relationship. The parents were scheduled to appear before a judge within 10 days. Pedescleaux was afraid of losing the kids due to accusations that she was taking non-prescription pills and driving under the influence.
Roberts rushed to the house, smashed through the window, rescued his kids from the house, and drove them to the hospital. The 4-year-old girl died at the hospital, and the 2-year-old boy remains in critical condition at the Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.
Pedescleaux was charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, and second-degree cruelty to a juvenile.
