Pastor Jamal Bryant Apologizes For Spreading Lies About Kevin Samuels

Megachurch Pastor Jamal Bryant apologized for the comments he previously made about Kevin Samuels during his Mother’s Day sermon at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. The pastor took to the pulpit to share his negative opinion about Kevin Samuels just days after his untimely death. During his sermon, he stated that men should steer away from a weak man like Kevin Samuels due to his philosophies on women and relationships.  Bryant was also called a hypocrite for his past transgressions including having sexual relations with women in his congregation and fathering outside children, which was the cause of his split from his six-year marriage to Gizelle Bryant.

The clip was seen by millions of people on Instagram, applauded by Kevin Samuels’ haters and condemned by his followers. Both men, Samuels and Bryant, are members of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. The Fraternity worked behind the scenes to smooth things out, prompting an apology from Bryant the following Sunday.
